cover art: Linda Podolak, "She Gave Me a Pink Parasol", 1972.
Our late Aund Linda (1951-2008) gave us our very first art lessons when we were little girls, and they always centered around self-expression. Since her passing, she often visits us in our dreams and we have felt her presence with us throughout our homespun music project. Her domestic depiction of her mother, our grandmother, is perfectly Homespun, homemade and sketched with love. Thank you Aunt Lynda for supporting us even still -- we promise to wear lipstick at every show.
Thank you to so many friends and family who supported us throughout this creative journey. Thank you to our Dad for inspiring a love for composing music and to our mother for always being our biggest fan. To our sister Catherine, thank you for being the first one to learn to sing in the choir, and for always cheering us on. John, thank you for playing roadie, supporter and an ever honest voice. Thank you to Max for playing every instrument in the book, for making your studio into a safe space to create, and most of all, for making us sound professional and somehow still ourselves.
